Accessibility
The Bloomington Convention Center is an accessible facility in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Our design includes accessible parking and entrances, wheelchair ramps, elevators, automatic doors, accessible restroom facilities, and assisted listening systems upon request. Braille placards are outside each meeting room. For accommodation requests, please call 812-336-3681 48 hours prior to your visit. There are limited wheelchairs available on site. Prior arrangements should be made to reserve by calling 812-336-3681. A valid form of identification is required to use.
Baby Changing Stations
Baby diaper changing stations are provided in restrooms.
Lactation Room
The Bloomington Convention Center offers one room along with refrigerator on the Main Floor. Contact the front Information Desk for more information.
Service Animals
Registered service animals for guests with disabilities are permitted. All other animals, including emotional support animals, are prohibited.
Amenities & Resources
ATMs
The nearest ATM machine is at Chase Bank two blocks north of the Bloomington Convention Center. It is at the corner of Kirkwood and College.
Business Center
The Bloomington Convention Center Information Desk can help with basic meeting needs; under 50 paper copies, scissors, tape, and several other last minute meeting needs.
For large projects, retail shops are within a few blocks for additional print needs. The Shipping and Receiving of packages using UPS, Fed Ex and other shipping services should be coordinated with the Event Manager prior to arrival. Call 812-336-3681 for any questions.
Food & Beverage
Food and Beverage service for Bloomington Convention Center events is provided by the exclusive food and beverage partner, Center Catering. Outside food and beverage other than commercially prepared cake is prohibited by attendees. Arrangements for catering are made through our Event Manager and Customer. There are over 100 restaurants located downtown in walking distance.
Hotels
There are several hotels within walking distance of the Bloomington Convention Center and include: Courtyard by Marriott (connected), The Graduate by Hilton, Hyatt Place, Hilton Garden Inn, Posh Hotel, and SpringHill Suites.

There is an Information Desk located in the main lobby of each Convention Center building. The information desk provides additional information about the Bloomington Convention Center and surrounding area.
Sustainability/Recycling
Our current facility has recycling containers located throughout the venue for guests to place recyclable materials in the appropriate bins as marked.
We are excited to announce the Bloomington Convention Center new building currently under construction is a LEED certified facility committed to minimizing our carbon footprint to preserve natural resources. It will open in February 2027.
Ticket Office
The Bloomington Convention Center does not currently provide a ticket office. Contact the event directly for ticket sales. Events may contact the Buskirk-Chumley Theater at 812-320-3020 to inquire about their ticketing service.
Visitor Information Center
The Visitors Center is located at 2855 N. Walnut Street. Visitor information specialists are available to assist with information about restaurants, hotels and attractions and more. The Visitors Center can be reached at 812-334-8900.

Complimentary WIFI is available in the building for attendees with basic WIFI needs. Customers needing Priority protected access should make arrangements with Event Management for priority access for high-speed Internet connection for streaming videos or large bandwidth needs.
Policies
Bag and Purse Policy
Bag and purse policies are subject to change based on event. Please check the event specific prohibited/permitted item policy and plan accordingly.
Balloons and Confetti
All helium-filled balloons, confetti are prohibited from entering unless specifically pre-approved with Event Management and Customer.
Cannabis
Cannabis products, edible and non-edible, may not be sold or distributed at the Bloomington Convention Center regardless of the THC concentration of the products.
Cameras
The Bloomington Convention Center makes every effort to accommodate commercial, non-commercial and amateur photography/videography requests. Cell phone cameras, small tablets, or small point & shoot cameras, mono/tripods and selfie sticks are permitted. All non-commercial filming and requests, for commercial shoots, news stories, etc., are required to contact the department’s Marketing Team for authorization. The Bloomington Convention Center does not sign location releases.
Code of Conduct
The Bloomington Convention Center is a public assembly facility, which welcomes all customers and guests. Any visitor whose conduct is objectionable, disorderly, or disruptive to the facility use or in violation of any law, may be refused entrance or ejected from the premises.
Firearms/Weapons
The Bloomington Convention Center policy prohibits firearms and weapons on property, except by on duty law enforcement officers with jurisdiction. Possession of firearms is unlawful under local code and state code.
Fliers, Brochures, Decals
The distribution of these materials or similar materials is strictly prohibited in all locations at the Bloomington Convention Center.
Smoking/Vaping
Smoking and vaping (including use of all types of electronic cigarettes) are prohibited inside of all Bloomington Convention Center property including balconies, patios, interior docks, stairwells and restrooms. Designated smoking areas are located twenty (20) feet from all facility entrances.
Solicitations
No collections or donations, whether for charity or otherwise, shall be made, attempted, or announced on Bloomington Convention Center premises without the prior of management.
Transportation & Parking
Bicycle Parking
Racks for bicycles are located at the main entrances.
Bus and Large Vehicle, Trailer Parking
We welcome bus parking but prior arrangements should be made. Bus group drop-offs should be coordinated with the Event Manager. RV/Trailer/ Camper parking related to a Convention Center event should make prior arrangements. Please contact 812-336-3681 to reserve space.
Electric Vehicles
There are charging stations for electric vehicles located at several downtown parking garages.

The Bloomington Convention Center is located at 302 South College Avenue in Downtown Bloomington. Many restaurants, attractions, shops and services are within a 10-minute walk.
Motorcycle Parking
There is no designated parking area for motorcycles adjacent to the Bloomington Convention Center. The nearest covered motorcycle parking is available at the 4th Street garage at 105 W. 4th Steet.
Parking
Parking is free at the Bloomington Convention Center with a 550-space parking lot adjacent to the building. Additional parking is available at several downtown parking garages, on the street, and in downtown parking lots. The Bloomington Convention Center parking is subject to availability on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Ride Share Zone
A pick-up and drop-off zone for popular ride sharing services such as Uber and Lyft is located at the west entrance of the Bloomington Convention Center. *The ride share zone may be temporarily relocated due to event activity.
Airports
Indianapolis International Airport is located 45 miles north of Bloomington. It is accessible by I-70 and I-69.
Monroe County Airport is a general aviation hub that is open to the public with easy I-69 access. The airport offers services for private and corporate jets with two runways, including a 6,500 ft main runway.
Safety & Security
First Aid
Guests having a medical emergency should call 9-1-1 and then notify building security for further assistance. Our security team will assist emergency medical personnel with building access and logistics.
An AED is available onsite in the Event Office.
Lost & Found
The Bloomington Convention Center assumes no responsibility for any lost or misplaced items. An official lost and found location is on site. Contact the Information Desk at 812-336-3681 to inquire about lost or misplaced items.
Lost Children and Adults
Parents seeking lost children may go to our Information Desks and/or notify uniformed event personnel. Contact the Information Desk 812-336-3681 for assistance.
Security
The Bloomington Convention Center Security can be reached at 812-336-3681 for assistance with medical emergencies, locating lost children and other security concerns. While on site check in with the lobby information desk with questions.
Event security is required for events serving alcohol and/ or groups over 500.
