Local Clay Potters' Guild is a group of 22 professional artists living and working in South Central Indiana. The holiday show features functional pottery made from stoneware and porcelain clays, as well as, free standing and wall mounted sculptural pieces. The work is hand built and wheel thrown. Each piece is unique due to the variations in natural materials and the firing process in each kiln. The work is decorated and glazed using a variety of minerals and techniques. The result is a wide range of form, color and texture in these one of a kind pieces. The show is displayed as a gallery setting.
The Bloomington Spinners & Weavers Guild, established in the early 1980’s is made of up 40 professional and non-professional fiber artists. Their mission is to raise public awareness about the fiber arts and to provide a forum for the growth and…
